This oval composition features a Barn Swallow in flight.  Deep blues and soft pastels illustrate individual feathers on her raised wings  The fluttering bird turns backwards to look over her shoulder, and clutches a swirling honeysuckle vine.  The background is bright and sunny, with light emanating from the swallow and gold leaf flakes scattered in the wind.  Set in a vintage gilded wood frame.
