Painting of a Mourning Dove in her nest with her two baby chicks.  Each bird has a gold leaf halo.  This piece includes pearl and gem embellishments, and features an ornately patterned background in a customized frame.  Inspired by Byzantine icons, this softly rendered dove family stands out against a hand painted crimson background.  The mother dove has lined her nest with leafy vines and golden straw.
