About the Artist

Ashley Dietrich holds BFAs in Art History and Studio Art, a minor in Philosophy, and did graduate studies in Biocultural Anthropology and Archaeology. Her artwork is not available in galleries, rather shared directly with the public. She has dedicated much of her work to funding Olive's Place Dove & Pigeon Sanctuary Inc, a nonprofit she founded to provide long-term care for disabled and domestic birds.

Ashley’s work features avian subjects, inspired and informed by her years as a wildlife rehabilitator. She depicts birds naturalistically, yet renders them in an illustrative and symbolic manner – creating an otherworldly environment with gold leafing, embellishments, and ornate backgrounds. Current projects explore anthropomorphism through stylized portraits, which investigate the concept of veneration and encourage the viewer to contemplate the value we place on individual animal lives.

Shipping

Artwork ships on Tuesdays. Smaller works may go out within 1-2 days. An automated email provides a tracking number when your order ships.

USA - all original painting orders and embellished canvas prints ship for free!

Paper print orders of 1-2 prints ship for a flat $5. Print orders of 3 prints or more (or prints shipped along with any original paintings in the same order) ship free.

International

Buyers are fully responsible for tariffs and/or customs fees charged by their country.

Packaging/shipping cost is estimated by weight in your cart, and is accurate for a single piece, but may overestimate for multiple pieces combined. If you want to order several artworks shipped together, please contact me with your postal code and desired pieces, and I will double-check an accurate cost. If you go ahead and purchase and there is a significant overage (over $10), I will refund it. I do not send packages to 3rd party shipping services.

CANADA - Paper prints (any number) ship for a flat $15. Paintings up to 2 pounds are $20. Up to 3 pounds are $30. Up to 4 pounds are $40. Over 4 pounds are $55.

EU & UK - Paper prints (any number) ship for a flat $20. Paintings up to 2 pounds are $30. Up to 3 pounds are $40. 3-5 pounds are $60

AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND - Paper prints (any number) ship for a flat $20. Paintings up to 2 pounds are $30. Up to 4 pounds are $48. Over 4 pounds would be $100, so your order may need to ship in separate packages to save on postage.

Returns

All artwork is represented as accurately as possible, though variations in computer screens may cause colors to appear different. All dimensions are correct within a half-inch.

Damage/Loss Policy: Art is carefully packaged and sent with a tracking number to ensure safe arrival. In the unlikely event of damage, provide photos of the damage to artwork AND box/packaging within 24 hours of delivery. A signed statement of loss is required to file an insurance claim. Damaged art can be exchanged or refunded after insurance is filed, but buyers cannot keep artwork if a refund is issued. Theft claims can only be processed if a police report is filed.

Returns for personal reasons: Please ask questions or request additional photos before ordering if you are uncertain of an art purchase. Return requests for personal reasons (does not match decor, change of heart, smaller or larger than expected, etc.) must be submitted within 3 days of delivery. The buyer is responsible for return shipping cost. A 15% fee to cover the original packaging/shipping/insurance expenses will be deducted from the refund, to be issued after artwork is received back in its original condition.
