Aka MAD MAX, Max Mils, Maximum Pij... Max was a lost or abandoned domestic pigeon limping on an infected ankle, who hobbled into someone's apartment and refused to leave until he got help. Woefully unsocialized, Max was fortunate to be taken under the wing of Charlotte - an older widowed founding flock member.  Charlotte taught him how to be a proper pigeon. After Charlotte's passing, he was a loving mate to Bijou. Max was the benevolent de-facto emperor of the special needs aviary for nearly a decade.
